Christopher Snowdon, Head of Lifestyle Economics at the Institute for Economic Affairs (IEA), responded to an ONS report showing that British workers are averaging a three-day week amid rise of working from home.

Quoted by The Daily Telegraph, Chris said: “From what I can gather, the reduction in hours worked reflects reduced capacity even among the businesses that stayed open during lockdown.

Christopher added: “We should expect this to continue for a long time as businesses try to cope with social distancing measures, lower footfall and a fearful population.”
