New research by IEA Director of Public Policy and Communications Matthew Lesh has been featured in The Daily Express. The new paper, Graphic Content, outlines how government regulation has caused the prices of housing, energy, and childcare to spike since 2000.

The article said:

“Red tape in planning, the environment, health and safety and other sectors has forced up prices while creating a drag on the economy, the Institute of Economic Affairs claims. 

“Its research highlights how price rises have varied across sectors since the turn of the century, with the most heavily regulated areas seeing the largest cost increases.”
