IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon has commented on a campaign urging Nestle to sell less chocolate in The Times.

Christopher said:

“Nestlé don’t get to decide how much chocolate people eat, nor should they try. It makes tasty food that people like and that is all it needs to do.

“You can be an activist investor or you can invest to make money. The ESG market has collapsed in the last year and those three little letters should be a warning that a fund prioritises virtue-signalling over making returns for investors. Go woke, go broke.”
