Covid-19 should not overshadow other health risks

One potentially dire consequence of the coronavirus pandemic has been the substantial reduction in the number of MMR jabs administered – which may, as IEA Director of Communications Annabel Denham warns, lead to a rise in measles – a highly infectious and more dangerous disease than coronavirus.

Writing for The Telegraph, Annabel argues that as soon as this crisis is over “Public Health England must better diagnose the cause of low immunisation rates and deploy a much greater proportion of its budget towards targeted initiatives.
