Matthew Lesh quoted in the Sunday Express
The IEA’s Head of Public Policy Matthew Lesh has been quoted in the Sunday Express discussing the upcoming fiscal event.
Emphasising the need for Friday’s announcement to “reset the agenda” by focusing on supply-side reforms, Matthew was quoted:
“The cost of living crisis can only be meaningfully addressed with reforms that boost the ability of the economy to produce goods and services and thereby reduce prices; this means addressing how the tax and regulatory system discourages investment and work.”
The article laid out some of Matthew’s key proposals to get the economy growing including the abolition of the 45p tax band and an increase in the stamp duty threshold.
