Mark Littlewood writes for The Telegraph

Responding to the formation of the European Super League (ESL), IEA Director General Mark Littlewood argues the ESL would create a “cartel” by neutralising competitor’s on and off the field. This is not free market capitalism as some critics are claiming the ESL represents.

Mark said: “On an accounting spreadsheet and in a board room discussion, it always seems a good idea to minimise your financial exposure and risk. But to seek to remove the consequences of under-performance in sport is to undermine the very product you are selling“.
