In an op-ed for the Daily Mail, IEA Director General Mark Littlewood welcomed the  news that the UK recorded zero Covid deaths for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Mark expressed his dismay that a ‘hardcore of experts’ are still urging politicians to be cautious with the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Mark argued: “There must be no further delays. No hitting of the pause button. No scaremongering about potent new strains. Lockdown must end in its entirety on June 21, and every emergency restriction must be rescinded there and then“.
