The NHS Confederation this week raised concerns about the health service’s ability to cope with a second wave and a vast backlog of treatments over the course of the winter.

IEA Director of Communications Annabel Denham, in an article for City AM, has said such NHS shortcomings have strengthened “an already-watertight case for system-level reform of the UK’s healthcare system.”

Denham argues that we must look to international examples of social insurance models, which deliver better outcomes, to improve our healthcare.
