The All Party Parliamentary Group on Smoking and Health has suggested raising the legal age of sale of tobacco from 18 to 21 in their mission to create a smoke free Britain by 2030.


Christopher Snowdon, IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics, was quoted by Sky News in their coverage of the story. Christopher said: “If this All Party Group and its friends at Action on Smoking and Health believe the age of consent should be higher, it should lobby to raise the voting age to 21.”
