Boris Johnson can learn from Scott Morrison

Matthew Lesh, IEA Head of Public Policy, has written for The Telegraph arguing that Boris Johnson must take stock of Scott Morrison’s recent electoral loss in Australia.

Matthew posits that, much like Scott Morrison, Boris Johnson risks electoral failure if his government does not take drastic steps to tackle public disillusionment.

“Unlike the Conservative Party’s overwhelming Brexit mandate, Morrison’s majority ran to just two seats after the last election. Nevertheless, the similarities are uncanny: a scandal-ridden prime minister, a moderate opposition leader and a realignment that has shattered the political dynamic.”
