Ryan Bourne appears on BBC Radio 5 Live

Ryan Bourne has appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live to discuss the announcement that the BBC will be removing 11,000 recipes from its website in order to cut costs.

In the interview Ryan poses the question that if you’re going to have an organisation funded by a licence fee, should the BBC be doing things that are otherwise done in the commercial sector. This raises the question of what the BBC should be doing – if it wants to be free to do what it likes, then a move towards a method of funding whether it raises its own funds is necessary.
