IEA Labour Market Expert Professor Len Shackleton has been quoted in The Sunday Express arguing that we should train more doctors and nurses in the UK to help relieve pressure on the NHS.

Len said:

“It is absurd that we turn away thousands of people every year who are well qualified to study medicine. We then end up importing foreign doctors, many from countries whose need is greater than ours.”
