Johan Norberg on the benefits of capitalism

Johan Norberg (from THINK 2015) provides his take on how successful capitalism has been at lifting millions out of poverty and how it has transformed the lives of many more. Johan explores how India and China have developed in recent decades in terms of economic freedom, touching on the vast global improvements in living standards. Johan Norberg is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute and a writer who focuses on globalization, entrepreneurship, and individual liberty. Norberg is the author and editor of several books exploring liberal themes, including Progress: Ten Reasons to Look Forward to the Future, Financial Fiasco: How America’s Infatuation with Homeownership and Easy Money Created the Economic Crisis; and In Defense of Global Capitalism, and most recently Open: The Story of Human Progress. This video is a clip from Johan’s speech at THINK 2015 where he spoke about the Triumph of Capitalism with Henrik Jonsson.
