IEA In Conversation with Professor Simon Heffer

Simon will be joining us for the latest of our In Conversation events, an IEA series of discussions with notable figures across public life. This event will take place on Thursday, 16th May from 17.30 – 19.30 at the IEA (2 Lord North Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 3LB) and will be chaired by Tom Clougherty (IEA Executive Director).

Simon Heffer is one of Britain’s great political commentators, having written extensively on a wide range of topics throughout his career as a historian, journalist, and author. Simon has served both the Telegraph, The Spectator, and Daily Mail throughout his journalism career. He currently has a weekly column in The Sunday Telegraph. He has written several biographies and a series of books on Britain’s history. He was also made the authorised biographer of Enoch Powell, seeing Cambridge University award him a PhD in modern history for the book. Simon is currently the Professor of History at the University of Buckingham.

Doors will open at 17:30, with the event starting off with a drinks reception before Tom sits down with Simon to discuss a wide range of topics related to economics, public policy, and much more. Our audience will also have a chance to participate in a Q&A session with Simon, moderated by Tom.
