Are you fresh graduate and having difficulty finding a job? Are you interested in having professionals look over your CV? Or simply an alumni looking to reconnect with the IEA.

We’re excited to extend an invitation to the upcoming IEA Career Talks event featuring John King, Partner at Montreux Capital Management at the IEA Westminster Offices on Wednesday, 10th April from 17:30 – 19:30.

Our work with students has always been at the core of our mission as an education charity. What started as a small initiative back in 1993 by Christine Blundell, the IEA Student Educational Programme has blossomed into what it is today. Reaching out to a 1000 teachers and academics across the country, directly engaging with over 2000 students annually, and a strong general internship programme, our student education programme is touted as one of Europe’s most expansive and comprehensive.

We take great pride in witnessing many of our alumni excel in various fields, from becoming classical liberal academics and political commentators to successful entrepreneurs. This year, one of our key objectives is to strengthen and celebrate our alumni community.

To kickstart this initiative, we’re launching the IEA Career Talks series. This platform will feature distinguished alumni, sharing insights from their personal career journeys and offering valuable perspectives on their respective sectors and share their experiences at the IEA and how that has shaped their career direction and trajectory.

John King serves as Head of Investor Relations & Partner at Montreux Capital Management. John started his career working for a campaign organization at the European Parliament before joining the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), the oldest free market think tank in the UK. John then moved into finance, working as a research analyst before becoming the Associate Director of Apex Fund Services’ capital introduction team. John graduated from Southampton University with a degree in Politics and International Relations.
