IEA Director of Public Policy and Communications Matthew Lesh has been quoted in The Daily Express criticising the government’s reported desire to raise taxes after news that the UK economy grew by 0.6% in April.

Matthew said:

“Britain’s economy is finally starting to show the first signs of life after several miserable years.

“This will mean stronger revenues for the Treasury and even fewer excuses to jack up taxes.
