Research by IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon on the impact of restricting alcohol advertising has been referenced in The Daily Mail amid reports that the Scottish government intends to press ahead with its ban after shelving the proposals in 2023.

The article said:

“The Institute of Economic Affairs even found that a ban on adverts in stores, pubs and at sporting events would have little or no impact on consumption.”
