IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon has been quoted in The Daily Mail responding to New Zealand’s decision to scrap it’s generational tobacco ban and urging the UK government to follow suit.

Christopher said:

“In New Zealand, the generational tobacco ban was an authoritarian remnant of Jacinda Ardern’s left-wing government, 

“The new government realised that prohibition doesn’t work and rightly ditched it. 

“The UK is now the only country in the world that takes this absurd idea seriously.”
