Alexander Jelloian is the Research and Project Manager at the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity. In this position, Alexander coordinates with the IATP’s many partners across Sub-Saharan Africa and oversees the successful implementation of the various projects the IATP supports. In addition, Alexander also runs the IATP’s YouTube channel, occasionally writes research articles related to African development, and performs other day-to-day tasks.
Prior to joining the IATP, Alexander interned at The Heritage Foundation’s Center for International Trade and Economics and has also worked at Young America’s Foundation’s Reagan Ranch Center. He has BA in Economics and Business Administration from Whittier College and an MSc in Political Economy of Late Development from the London School of Economics. Finally, Alexander will be starting a Ph.D. program at the University of Southern California in the fall of 2023.
