Prior to joining the IEA, Sam worked as a software engineer for the Australian Defence, Science, and Technology Group where he provided software support for the Optronics team. While working in this area, Sam decided to change his career and pursue his passion for economics and classical liberal philosophy, returning to Curtin University to study a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance.
While in this degree Sam was accepted as a scholar of the Mannkal Economic Education Foundation where he was introduced to the world of liberal Think Tanks. He was then awarded an Internship at the IEA and upon completing the internship, moved from Australia to the UK to accept the role of Operations Officer.
