Victoria Hewson, IEA Head of Regulatory Affairs, has conducted research into the detrimental impact that the Northern Ireland Protocol is having in Northern Ireland.

Victoria argues that the UK Government would be justified in taking unilateral action to protect the Belfast agreement and that the EU should be open to renegotiation.

“The Protocol is not fulfilling the intentions of the parties, and it cannot be right to simply repeat that the UK entered into it voluntarily and should be held to its terms, while the people of Northern Ireland suffer adverse effects.”
