New member of staff joins the IEA

The Institute of Economic Affairs is delighted to announce the appointment of Stephanie Lis as its new Communications Officer.

Stephanie has been working as the Campaign Manager at The Freedom Association where her focus was on civil liberties, individual freedom and the European Union.

After studying history at the University of Nottingham she went on to obtain an MSc in History and International Relations from the London School of Economics, where she focused on European integration studies whilst writing a thesis on diplomacy during the lead up to the Falklands War. She has previously worked at YouGov and has also been a delegate at European Youth Parliament sessions.

Commenting on the appointment, Mark Littlewood, Director General of the Institute of Economic Affairs, said:

“Britain’s economy is at a critical juncture. Free-market ideas have never been more relevant. Stephanie will be a major asset in ensuring that our promotion of these ideas in the media and to decision-makers is as effective as possible.”

Commenting on her appointment, Stephanie Lis, said:

“I am hugely excited to be joining such an influential organisation. With our economy in such a vulnerable position there is a vital need to make the case for free markets.”
