Annabel Denham, IEA Director of Communications, has written for The Telegraph on the widespread contempt for corporations weighing in on social and political issues.

Annabel points out that, not only has this united the left and right, its unpopularity transcends the political spectrum and is disliked by the majority of consumers.

“Polling suggests that the phenomenon of “purpose-driven companies” is a producer rather than consumer-driven demand. A Brunswick report showed that, while 63pc of corporate executives think it is right to speak out on issues such as income inequality and race relations, only 35pc of voters agree.”
