IEA report discussed in Pensions Expert

Writing for ConservativeHome, the IEA’s Head of Media, Emily Carver, points out that regardless of one’s view on a Net Zero strategy, it requires other states to act in kind. However, as Emily demonstrates, with certain high-pollution states avoiding the upcoming COP26, the chances of such collaboration seem slim.

“This is not to say that the UK and others should give up on going green. The possibilities of green technology are hugely exciting… However, it would be deluded to believe that the likes of China and India will come to the world’s rescue and slash their carbon emissions in line with our own – at least not anytime soon.”
