A new report by Henry Dimbleby of the National Food Strategy has called for new taxes on salt and sugar in an attempt to reduce obesity. IEA Head of Lifestyle Economic, Christopher Snowdon, was quoted in the Daily Mail criticising the proposals.

Christopher said: “Once again, rich people want to clobber ordinary people with stealth taxes, this time £3 billion of taxes on sugar and salt.
