Annabel Denham Appears on BBC Politics Live

IEA Director of Communications Annabel Denham appeared on BBC Politics Live to discuss the Spring Budget.

Annabel welcomed extensions to the business rates holiday but was concerned about the extension of the Furlough scheme to September.

On the Chancellor’s decision to freeze income tax thresholds, she argued it was a stealth tax which would make over a million people pay more in income tax over the coming years. Annabel made the case that the UK is at its taxable limit and urged the government to begin thinking about balancing the books in the years to come.
