The film will be followed by a brief discussion including contributions from:
- Jack Monroe, journalist and poverty campaigner, who said “It needs to be shown in the House of Commons”
- Mark Littlewood, Director general of the Institute of Economic Affairs, who said “It’s a libertarian rant against the welfare state”
- Sam Bowman, Executive Director of the Adam Smith Institute, who said “Ken Loach has picked the wrong villain: it’s capitalism which pays for his beloved welfare state”
We will be serving drinks and popcorn on the night.
