Why is the West Stagnating?

The IEA is delighted to invite you to a panel which will seek to answer the question: “Why is the West Stagnating?”

Fredrik Erixon, author of the “The Innovation Illusion” will be providing his answer to the question. Copies of his book will also be available for sale on the night.

The IEA’s Richard Wellings will air the public choice perspective, covering the growth of distributional coalitions such as labour unions and producer lobby groups.

The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, former Secretary of State for Education and for Justice, will give his thoughts on the topic

The Economist’s Adrian Wooldridge will also join the panel. He writes the Schumpeter column and is the magazine’s Management Editor. He’s also author of a number of books including “The Great Disruption” and “The Fourth Revolution.”
