Economic Thought Leaders’ Symposium.

The ETLS is an annual 3-day residential symposium bringing together some of the brightest young minds from across the social sciences disciplines. Senior undergraduates, postgraduates, and young professionals are invited to apply and, for those offered a place, it is entirely free to attend – there is no charge for accommodation, food, tuition, or materials.

The ETLS is jointly hosted by The Vinson Centre for Economics and Entrepreneurship and the Institute of Economic Affairs. It will take place at the University of Buckingham from Wednesday 7th September to Friday 9th September 2022.

The theme for this year’s unique and exciting programme is The Economics of War and Peace. Participants will be given the opportunity to hear from some of the top classical liberal academics in the UK and to discuss trade not war, international institutions, and diplomacy and game theory. There will also be an in-depth discussion on the Enrichment through exchange vs enrichment through plunder in economic thought as well as the opportunity to meet like minded students interested in ideas.

This programme is closed for 2022. For questions about future programmes please email [email protected]
