Valentin Boboc is a Senior Economist at the IEA, where his research focuses on barriers to UK economic growth and productivity.
Before joining the IEA, Valentin held roles at HM Treasury and the Department for Business and Trade, where he worked across a range of policy areas, including wholesale cash, multilateral trade bodies such as the WTO, and scoping and implementation work for new trade agreements (including the Japan FTA and CPTPP).
He holds a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Manchester.
