John King is the Director of External Relations at the Institute of Economic Affairs.
John oversees the IEA’s engagement strategy with key stakeholders across a range of industries and sectors.
13 years ago, he started his career as an IEA intern. Through his embrace of free market ideas, alongside attending notable student programmes such as Freedom Week, he joined the IEA as a member of staff.
After his time at the IEA, John decided to make a move to the financial services sector, where he remained for over a decade, predominantly in private equity.
In line with his financial services experience, John was invited back to the IEA as a keynote speaker where he explored the possibility of returning to the institute and contributing to a movement that has always been close to his heart.
