Kate Andrews appears on BBC's The Big Questions

Kate Andrews appeared on BBC One’s the Big Questions to discuss the future of the NHS. The question discussed was whether the private sector helps the NHS.

Kate debunked the idea that the only two options for healthcare systems are NHS or the US system. Contrary to claims it is the envy of the world, she made the point that no other country in the world has copied the NHS model.

Kate argued that the NHS is not a system built for 2017. We need to learn from countries such as Germany and Switzerland which have social insurance systems which save thousands more lives a year.
