Rebecca Lowe appears on BBC Newsnight
Rebecca argued that we need to make a distinction between capitalism and free markets. All too often what we see is rent-seeking and corporations trying to game the system, which amounts to crony capitalism.
She also analysed where we are now economically. We are approaching the highest tax burden since the 1950s, and experiencing high regulation and large amounts of public spending, none of which amounts to having a free economy.
With caps, regulatory burdens and endless interventions, it seems politicians are failing to realise that the state is not the answer to everything.
