Writing for the Daily Telegraph, Christopher points out the growing prevalence of what he calls “political factoids”, including the claim that austerity has killed 120,000 people, which cannot be called a lie because it is impossible to disprove, but it would be a lie to call it a fact because it cannot be proven.
