Commenting on the Online Safety Bill in City AM, IEA Head of Public Policy Matthew Lesh warned the Bill give too many powers to the Nadine Dorries, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

He warned that such powers “could be used to seriously undermine freedom of expression, setting arbitrary limits on what is acceptable speech online, beyond the original intentions of Parliament”.
