Kristian Niemietz comments in the Financial Times

Kristian Niemietz, Head of Health and Welfare at the Institute of Economic Affairs has commented in the Financial Times on the NHS crisis and what can be done.

In the article Kristian argues that cash is not a panacea. More money can’t do harm, but this happens every winter and also used to happen in years in which spending was increased by something like 8 per cent a year; and this is a bit of a red herring because normally health systems that spend more money can offer more things that are not necessary for survival, but that improve quality of life.
