Kate Andrews appears on BBC Daily Politics

Kate Andrews, News Editor at the Institute of Economic Affairs has featured on the Daily Politics Soap Box and appeared on the programme to discuss the NHS.

In her soap box, Kate argues that if the NHS having to cancel a whole month’s worth of operations because it is ill-equipped to tackle the winter flu, surely this is definition of system failure. The NHS health outcomes compared to that of its European counterparts are poor – and these systems all provide universal access to healthcare. It’s time for a radical change to our healthcare system, that creates a patient-centric system.
