Kate Andrews appears on The Today Programme

Kate Andrews, News Editor at the Institute of Economic Affairs has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme to discuss the IFS report on inheritance tax.

In the interview Kate argues that the real reason people are inheriting more is because of property values and the distorted housing market we have at the moment. Inheritance tax is not going to fix this problem. Plus inheritance tax is an incredibly inefficient tax – it currently raises one quarter of 1 per cent of GDP per year.
