Kate Andrews writes for City AM

Kate Andrews, News Editor at the Institute of Economic Affairs has written for City AM on how the policy announcements made at Conservative Party conference will do nothing for young voters.

In her article Kate makes the point that the promises made by the Conservative leadership show they are still out of touch with the younger half of the electorate. It is not obvious that the generations of Netflix and Uber are inherently socialist, so the Tory slide along the statism scale seems unlikely to help them win youth support. Instead they need new, pro-market ideas to tackle the intergenerational divide.
