Mark Littlewood appears on Chopper's Brexit podcast
On Brexit, Mark argues that Brexit could be a great opportunity for this country if it is done well. There are medium to long-term gains that I am looking at. The big upsides of Brexit could be that if you take control of your own regulatory handbook might you actually do that better than the European Union has. You might have the same quantum of regulation, but it ends up being less interfering and less damaging for the economy. The other benefit is that could start to strike your own trade deals.
On the IEA’s funding, Mark makes the point that assertion that people only say things because they are paid to is objectionable. If you were to look at the catalogue of the IEA’s research over the last 60 years and more, I defy anyone not to find a consistent line of argument throughout all the research and reports the IEA has ever produced.
