IEA research quoted by the Daily Express
The paper references recent IEA report ‘New Vision’ which sets out how a subscriber-owned funding model would allow the BBC to modernise public service broadcasting and remove the requirement for all TV owners to fund the BBC, even if they never watch it.
IEA senior academic fellow Professor Philip Booth, who wrote the report, said: “The BBC funding model needs to be pulled into the 21st century.
