Philip Booth features in CityAM

Professor Philip Booth, Editorial and Programme Director at the IEA, has featured in an article in CityAM discussing whether the annual economic meeting in Davos is a waste of time.

Philip makes the point that the meeting is dangerous as it provides a forum in which rent seekers can demand more regulation from politicians. It also perpetuates the fallacy that global leaders can make the world a better place by regulating and controlling the economy, when lower taxes, less regulation and fewer barriers to entrepreneurship are needed in order to promote prosperity.
