Defending cuts to local authority funding that could lead to library closures, Mark Littlewood, Director-General of the IEA, appears on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Stephen Nolan programme and argues that libraries are increasingly becoming an anachronism and that we should be looking to exploit new technologies if we are concerned about the effects library closures might have on people’s ability to read and learn.
