Richard D North appears on BBC Radio 4

The Sunday programme discussed that whilst tax avoidance is legal it may be morally questionable.

Richard D North explained that firms have an obligation to make money and return profits to their shareholders, going on to say that it would flout a firm’s responsibility to dole out more money to the taxman than they have to.

Providing firms do so legally (the taxman could close down these loopholes and arguably should do so) if a corporation sees a legal way to pay less tax than they have to then they are obliged to take the opportunity.

The programme also profiled a public meeting which Richard Wellings spoke at last week.
