The Swift Half with Snowdon ft. Joanna Williams

This week saw the release of a government-commissioned review into smoking, authored by Dr Javed Khan. The review proposes a raft of measures to reduce smoking, including a smoking ban in beer gardens, an annual increase of the smoking and painting cigarettes green.

While the review has been praised by some, many have serious concerns about the implications that such policies have for civil liberties.

In this episode of The Swift Half with Snowdon, Christopher Snowdon, IEA Head of Lifestyle Economics, sits down with Joanna Williams, Head of Culture and Education at Policy Education, to discuss the the efficacy and consequences of the proposed anti-smoking measures.
