Dr Steve Davies hosts a discussion panel on political realignment with Kate Andrews, Lisi Christofferson and David Goodhart. Dr Steve Davies is the Head of Education at the Institute of Economic Affairs. Previously he was program officer at the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) at George Mason University in Virginia. He joined IHS from the UK where he was Senior Lecturer in the Department of History and Economic History at Manchester Metropolitan University.He has authored several books, including Empiricism and History (Palgrave Macmillan, 2003) and was co-editor with Nigel Ashford of The Dictionary of Conservative and Libertarian Thought (Routledge, 1991). Kate Andrews is the Economics Correspondent at the Spectator. Before that, Kate was associate director at the Institute of Economic Affairs. She joined in February 2016, having previously worked as head of communications at the Adam Smith Institute. Prior to that, Kate was an intern at Townhall.com, and worked on the Romney for President and Linda McMahon for Senate campaigns in 2012. Lisi Christofferson is Head of Research & Strategy in London for C|T Group, the consultancy firm founded by Sir Lynton Crosby, Mark Textor and Mark Fullbrook. During her tenure of almost a decade at the firm, Lisi has overseen a vast amount of values-based opinion research for politicians, political parties and corporate clients where understanding the perceptions of specific audiences has been key to developing campaign-winning messaging and strategy. David Goodhart is a journalist, author and think tanker—currently head of the demography unit at the Policy Exchange think tank. He is the founder and former editor of Prospect magazine and the former director of the centre-left think tank Demos. THINK 2021 was held on Saturday 12th June where a collection of world leading economists and thinkers from all over the globe came together and gave talks, held discussions and hosted Q and As.
