On Thursday we’ll be staging the launch of Wealth Explosion: The Nature and Origins of Modernity by the IEA’s Head of Education Dr Stephen Davies.

This fascinating new work emphasises the often surprising, fundamental and continuing processes of innovation and transformation which have produced the world we now live in – a world fundamentally different from the one inhabited by our ancestors.

This book considers how and why things have changed and examines the contingent – and accidental – factors that created this unprecedented breakthrough.  The event will begin with short remarks from the author, followed by a Q&A.

The event takes place on Thursday 9^th May, from 6.30pm-8pm at the IEA, 2 Lord North Street, London SW1P 3LB.
