The Morality of Capitalism

About the Discussion

Rand challenged previous attempts to justify the self-interested nature of markets, including Adam Smith’s well-known “invisible hand” theory. She proposed a new perspective on self-interest, establishing a vital moral foundation for free markets.

In this talk, Yaron Brook examines the morality surrounding finance, free markets, savings, insurance, and the use of debt to fund consumption. He will explore the rationale behind capitalist motives and argue that capitalism is not only more effective than any other political system in promoting human flourishing, but also the only political system that is morally justifiable.
